Ambassador Volkan Bozkır of Turkey has recently been elected as the 75th President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The election of Turkey's candidate understandably created a climate of euphoria across the political spectrum in Turkey.

Birleşmiş Milletler Genel Kurulu'nun 75. Dönem Başkanlığı'na Türkiye'nin adayı Volkan Bozkır seçildi. Türkiye’nin adayının seçilmesi Erdoğan yanlısı çevrelerde kendini yüceltmenin de ötesine geçen bir zafer sarhoşluğu meydana getirdi.

Devlette gücün az sayıda, kifayetsiz yöneticinin elinde toplanması sonuçları itibariyle vahim kararların alınabilmesine yol açmaktadır.

The military intervention of Turkey changed the balance of power significantly in favor of the GNA, thanks to its drone technology. Developed by Erdogan’s son-in-law, Turkish drones had also wreaked havoc on Syrian targets in Idlib, outsmarting the advanced Russian air defense systems. These achievements boosted morale in Ankara and demonstrated that it has the power to shape developments in the region.

Despite President Erdogan’s unprecedented power, the Turkish politics is still vivid and dynamic. The crumbling economy, combined with the pressure of the COVID-19, has deepened the rifts by encouraging actors to take bolder steps. The economic downturn of the country has been high on the agenda of the Turkish society in recent years.

This report aims to reveal and analyze the criminal acts and/or omissions of the Turkish authorities against individuals alleged to be affiliated with, connected to, or members of the Gülen Group in the context of violations of the right to property as crimes against humanity.

Most of the Russian propaganda in Turkey is not overtly conducted by Russian state-affiliated media outlets. Eurasianists in Turkey carry out the Kremlin’s bidding to influence Turkish public opinion in favor of Russian war efforts. They blame the West, specifically NATO and the US, for instigating the war in Ukraine and causing regional instability. They also attack Turkey's political opposition for their milder views on NATO and the US and recommend that the Turkish government prioritize its relations with Russia.

Ce rapport vise à susciter et à analyser les actes et/ou omissions scandaleux des autorités turques à l’encontre de personnes – qui, selon elles, sont affiliées au Groupe Gülen, y sont liées ou sont membres de celui-ci – relevant du crime contre l’humanité.  

This report aims to elicit and analyze the outrageous acts and/or omissions of the Turkish authorities against individuals –whom they claim are affiliated with, connected to, or members of the Gülen Group– within the legal purview of crime against humanity.
