Sinan Ogan emerged as a notable surprise during the initial round of the Turkish Presidential elections on May 14. Despite his limited recognition among voters and a modest campaign budget, his vote share, which exceeded 5 percent, is a significant achievement. Notably, his endorsement of Erdogan's campaign in the second round opens up the possibility of him playing a role in the forthcoming cabinet.

Tüm devlet kurumları, medyanın tamamına yakını ve halkın yarıya yakınının desteğini almış; mecliste çoğunluğu ele geçirmiş, kitlesi motive, morali yüksek bir Erdoğan muhtemelen oylarını daha da artırarak 2. turda rahat şekilde seçilecek.

The first round of Turkey's highly anticipated elections is scheduled to take place on May 14th. Political analysts have focused their attention primarily on the prospects of the opposition alliance's candidate, Kılıçdaroğlu, emerging as the victor, a genuine possibility as indicated by several recent polls. Nonetheless, concerns are widespread about the consequences if Erdoğan refuses to concede and the ensuing instability.

Seçim gecesi neler yaşanabileceğine dair ipuçlarını görmek amacıyla dünyanın her kıtasından bazı örneklerle seçime hile karıştıran, kaybettiği halde görevi bırakmamak için direnen liderlerin ülkelerinde ne gibi sorunlara yol açtığını, sürecin nasıl işlediğini ve nasıl sonuçlandığını kısaca ele almak istiyoruz.

Türkiye’nin KHK sorununa muhalefet partilerinin yaklaşımlarının ne düzeyde yeterli olduğu sorgulamasından yola çıkarak hazırlanan bu rapor, muhalefet partileri başta olmak üzere bu sorunun üzerine gitme vaadinde bulunan her türlü oluşuma analitik ve hukuksal bir çerçeve sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda rapor KHK mağdurlarını, maruz kaldıkları idari ve/ veya adli işlemleri gözönünde bulundurarak kategorize etmekte ve her bir kategoriyi kendi şartları çerçevesinde irdeleyerek çözüm önerileri sunmaktadır.

O presente relatório tem por objetivo suscitar e analisar os atos escandalosos e/ou omissões das autoridades turcas contra indivíduos - a quem alegam estar afiliados, ligados ou membros do Grupo Gülen - no âmbito da competência legal do crime contra a humanidade.

Ce rapport vise à susciter et à analyser les actes et/ou omissions scandaleux des autorités turques à l’encontre de personnes – qui, selon elles, sont affiliées au Groupe Gülen, y sont liées ou sont membres de celui-ci – relevant du crime contre l’humanité.  

This report aims to elicit and analyze the outrageous acts and/or omissions of the Turkish authorities against individuals –whom they claim are affiliated with, connected to, or members of the Gülen Group– within the legal purview of crime against humanity.

It has been five years since the failed coup attempt in Turkey and no one has any clear idea yet what actually happened that night. While the complete narrative and evidence about the failed coup have yet to be clarified, the scope of the reaction by the Turkish government to the coup attempt was quite horrifying.

In the past year, through our various publications, analyses and podcasts, instituDE has strived to shed light on Turkey; its domestic politics, economy, foreign policy and human rights situation. We have worked to provide valuable information and comments on Turkey for the foreign observers as well as the Turkish public. We put effort into raising awareness on the human rights violations and authoritarian practices in Turkey.
