Hüseyin Konuş

Huseyin Konus is a data scientist, foreign policy analyst, and a human rights activist. He is a former Turkish diplomat. He worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey as a career diplomat between 2004 and 2016. During his diplomatic career, he worked in several departments in the ministry, also as an advisor to the foreign minister for two years. He served in Turkish diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia and the USA. Before leaving the ministry in 2016, he was acting head of department in charge of relations with European countries. For short term diplomatic assignments, he has been to around 50 countries, including Pakistan, Yemen, and North Korea. He obtained a master’s degree from Harvard University in Middle Eastern Studies. He holds a BA in International Relations from Bilkent University. He currently lives in Germany.
