Baki Kaya

Baki Kaya is an economist, energy expert, and former diplomat. He worked for many years at the State Planning Organization, specializing in energy policies and state-owned energy enterprises. He later joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, where he served on the Eurasia and Caucasia desk and was posted to Mauritania as Deputy Chief of Mission. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he focused on energy, environment, sustainability, and climate change. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University.
